On behalf of the Arizona Justice of the Peace Association (AJPA) and the Arizona Magistrates Association (AMA), I am pleased to announce registration is now open for the 2023 Conference! This year’s event is open to justices of the peace, magistrates, limited jurisdiction court staff, and constables, so please share with your court staff.

The conference site is in Scottsdale, Arizona and will be disclosed upon registration for security reasons.

The agenda for this year’s conference is attached, and features a Tuesday afternoon pre-conference event on a potpourri of topics including Seizing Personal Property to Collect on a Judgement, Eviction and Protective Order Issues, and a Hot Topic Roundtable Discussion between Constables and Justices of the Peace.

REGISTRATION & FEES:

Registration is open at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/2023-justice-of-the-peacemagistrate-association-conference-tickets-673904746237?aff=oddtdtcreator; when prompted, the password is 2023JPConference. Registration closes August 18, 2023, so don’t delay!

Registration fees for this year’s event are:

· AJPA & AMA Member - $325.00

· Non-member Fees - $435.00

· Constables (Tuesday PM only) – $95.00

· Constables (full conference) - $325.00

· Guests at Lunch (Wed or Thur) - $45.00/day/guest

· Vendor Tables - $450.00

Payment can be made on-line at time of registration, or your court prefers an invoice, please indicate so in your registration. An invoice will come from jbruno@courts.az.gov, and all payments are due no later than August 25, 2023. Refunds, less a 25% administrative fee will be issued for cancellation made in writing to jbruno@courts.az.gov PRIOR to Friday August 25, 2023; refunds cannot be provided for cancellations after that date, however, we can transfer registration to a different attendee.

OVERNIGHT LODGING

A conference rate of $155 (+tax)/night is available at The Scott. Please contact the hotel by August 15, 2023 to receive this rate, and indicate you are with the Arizona Justice of the Peace Association. The Resort’s toll free reservations number is (800) 528-7867.
